National Health Service (NHS) is the largest welfare system in UK

(WWW.NHS.NET)  is established on the basis of the selectivity principle for poor relief and universality principle. The British citizens with income shall be insured by the social insurance and pay the insurance expenses and enjoy the relevant welfare according to the uniform standard. The welfare system is managed by Government.

Financial resources of (WWW.NHS.NET)
The main financial resources of NHS are from the tax revenue. As the expenses for the largest project of the British social welfare system, the government allocation in 2009 was more than 90 billion pounds which is 10 times the government allocation 60 years ago. NHS provides a comprehensive range of health services for more than 60 million people in Britain, which can be regarded as the largest public medical system. Moreover, the employees of NHS are up to 1.5 million, including 90,000 hospital doctors and 35,000 family doctors, 400,000 nurses and 16,000 first-aid personnel; and there are 1600 hospitals and special care centers in the country.

(WWW.NHS.NET)  Structure
NHS system is divided into two layers. The first layer is the fundamental medical service focusing on the communities, for example, General Practitioner (GP), dentist, pharmacy, ophthalmic testing, etc. Every British citizen can register in the nearby GP clinic, and any further treatment must be transferred by the fundamental medical service. The second layer mainly refers to the hospitals, including emergency, outpatient service, operative treatment, hospitalized nursing. Etc.

Recently, NHS has corrected SIRT clinic policy probation statement, and therefore mCRC patients and ICC patients can receive the treatment in various professional centers and benefit from the SIR-Spheres therapy.

At present, SIR-Spheres therapy becomes one of the first batch of the medical technology used in the professional centers, and will be comprehensively conducted by “CtE” of NHS England. The “CtE” plan makes the professional centers able to use the services such as SIRT. Although the primary safety and curative effect have been accepted and supported by NICE, the further evidence for the aspect of relevant clinic and cost effectiveness is also needed to support the normal probation.

In order to be a professional system and be convenient for the transmission of relevant information, (WWW.NHS.NET)  system has a system of NHSmail, which is the national email and directory service available to NHS employees in England and Scotland.

Accredited to government restricted status, it is the only NHS email service secure enough for the transmission of confidential patient information.
